Upgrade to PCS 7:
The existing S7 control program and the existing Wonderware visualization were replaced by a new PCS7 program with the same function.
During the start-up phase, the new PCS7 controller CPU AS410 was set up in parallel with the existing S7 400 controller, the existing IO hardware ET200isp remained unchanged, so that the old S7 400 controller with old Wonderware visualization could be switched back to at any time and downtime could be kept low.
Mechanical extension of the distillation plant and extension of the function:
In collaboration with our main contractor Vogelbusch Biocommodities, the distillation plant was completely redesigned and expanded (3 columns instead of 1) to enable, among other things, increased flow rates and less downtime.
As a result, a control cabinet system was built in cooperation with Schmidberger and linked to the existing substation. As a result of the expansion of the mechanical components, the function and thus the program logic were also redesigned or expanded in collaboration with process engineers from Vogelbusch.
Strong focus on easy operability, increased throughput, reduced downtime during operation and conversion phase, and consequently a short shutdown.
